Today I was at work and began to read my assigned chapter for my masters class I started yesterday. The text book is called, Management of Organizational Behavior. Sounds like fun, right?!?!?!?! So anyway, we are to read chapter 4 this week. It's title is Leadership: An Initial Perspective. There are a couple of things that I read in this chapter so far that just really struck me about having a vision. One thing said was, "Today, just as thousands of years ago, without a vision, persons and organizations perish." Hmmmm...I think that is just a rewording a familiar scripture. What do you think? haha! So that was really cool that they mentioned this, but then later on a couple of pages over it says, "Vision is conceiving of impossible things." That was so amazing to me today when I read that because so many times in my life have I had a dream to do something but never did anything about it, many times because it seems too daunting or impossible. But when God gives you the vision to do something, do everything you can to carry out that vision within your heart. Just like our vision for this year is to get everyone connected in some way. That can seem like a daunting and impossible thing to do when our church has so many people in it. But knowing that this is a God vision, I know that we can achieve the impossible and achieve this vision that has been given to us to connect. Okay, so I had to get that out. That was really cool to me today. I normally don't have such awesome stuff come to me like that through text books so this was a first for me. I love you all dearly and can't wait to see you tomorrow night!

Libby....do you handle the prayer request list at church? I have a friend from High School, whose father was my Pastor. Their family had a HUGE impact on my life as a teenager and is why I am serving the Lord today. My friend's name is Reggie Helton, he is married and has 2 teenage daughters. Two weeks ago, his wife was laid off from her job and yesterday he was laid off from his job. Could you please have them added to our church's prayer request list as soon as possible? They DESPERATELY need our prayers! Thank you Rock Family! You truly are a ROCK!!! God bless you all! I will also be praying for all those requests listed here on the forum! Love you all!

ok, I'm back home now. Our enemy, Satan hates it when we pray. He know that prayer is our weapon against him and it keeps us in right standing with our Father. There is Power in prayer and God's Word. That's why when we pray, PRAY GOD'S WORD. That is His Will. When I read God's word, I will read it out loud and pray it for my own life and my friends and family.
I also pray constantly in my thoughts to the Lord. I know that Satan cannot hear that intimate fellowship that I have with God. We have constant communion and fellowship that is so wonderful.
Our biggest battlefield is our mind. Evil spirits, demonic spirits are not omniscient. They do not have all knowledge. That is why we so desperately need to keep God's Word in our "thought life" (where sin begins). Hiding it in our hearts so that we will not sin against God. Satan wants to destroy us. He know our weakness by hearing the things we are saying and by seeing the things we are doing. Stay close to Jesus! I need Him every moment of every day in my life.
